Windchill Rules
We know a lot of folks want to visit with Windchill and we want to do our best to accomodate that. Windchill has become a part of a lot of people's lives and hearts. But Windchill is a recovering patient - and a young one at that and so we ask that you please follow these rules if you are planning to visit. This is not public property, this is private property. While it may sound harsh but if we feel the rules are not being honored, or Windchill is jeopardized in any way we will ask you to leave, period.
Please note: We reserve the right to close the barn at any time if we determine it is in Windchill's best interest. His well-being and his safety take priority. You are welcome to call (715.395.0990) or check this site to make sure the barn is open.

  • If you are sick, or susceptible to illness - we ask that you avoid contact with Windchill. You are welcome to visit the rest of our herd - there's lots of other great horses, cats and a dog to visit.

  • If you bring children - you are responsible for them. Please remind them Windchill is a recovering patient - no running, rough housing, yelling or loud voices in or near the barn.

  • Only the hay in Windchill's stall, or items we provide, should be fed to Windchill.

  • INDOOR voices in the barn - that includes you big people as well as the little ones.

  • Please do not bring your pets. Believe me, there's plenty here so you won't be lonely.

  • Farm equipment & tools are not toys - please do not allow your young ones to play on or with the equipment, we don't want anyone getting hurt.

  • Due to snow and ice, walking can be very slippery. We would encourage boots and please be cautious.

  • This is our home - we're happy to offer you coffee, tea and hot cocoa and ask that you please throw away any refuse in designated containers and not in the pastures.

  • We are not responsible for any weight gain you may incur due to the chocolate chip cookies and various bars we will have available baked by the many fine people who have dropped them off.
